This painting illustrates a story from the great epic of the Mahabharat. The Pandava's are in exile. They are disguised as Brahmanas for the last year. Arjuna has just won the beautiful Draupadi's hand in marriage and he has announced the news to his mother Kunti by saying: "Mother, we are bringing you our daily alms for the day". And she replied that they must share it equally between themselves. They are all shocked, what did she say? Her words can never be proven false.
