This game was very popular in Europe a couple of hundred years ago. It is called Blind man's buff or Blind man's Bluff. The girl is about to fall and the boy is ready to catch her. The cat adds a comic note. It seems to say: " Will she fall or not?”

Blind man's buff or blind man's bluff are both correct. I used blind man's buff because this is how Charles Dickens spelled it in his book. "Blind man's buff origins are from the early 17th century:" bluff, alteration of buff a blow, from Old French buff."

This painting is framed in a gold wooden frame.
