This is executed in Plein air in India. The lilies are almost like lotuses in the fact that they have long stems coming out of the water. It is amazing to come back day after day and watch the flowers slowly moving, slowly disappearing underwater and the leaves, flat on the surface at first, rise straight up vertically for no apparent reason.
